Modified Antibiotics Department 2. Operations
Modified Antibiotics Department 2 has many years of experience in the chemistry and technology of antibiotics, mainly ß-lactam, aminoglycoside and macrolide antibiotics, as well as synthetic compounds.
Since 1998, the operations of the Department have been focused primarily on research and studies on proteins with therapeutic properties, such as recombined human insulin and insulin analogues, and interferon-alpha.
The scope of research and studies covers:
- Development of methods and technologies for product manufacturing, modification of chemical properties of proteins and antibiotics, and for obtaining synthetic products
- Development of methods for protein isolation and purification
- Development of methods of medicinal substance pharmaceutical formulations
- Implementation of the developed technologies
- Analyzing data from literature
The team of the Modified Antibiotics Department 2 takes pride in a number of scientific and technological achievements. Since 2004 these include 7 patents and 3 patent applications (including 1 foreign application), 1 publication in a foreign scientific magazine, 3 announcements at domestic congresses and conferences, 30 unpublished papers (reports, process projects, technology analyses), all in the field of antibiotics, synthetic compounds and biologically active proteins.
